City operations

Residents are advised to exercise patience and drive with caution.  Staff are monitoring weather forecasts and will be patrolling roads throughout the event

• Staff will continue to plow and clear the transportation network over the next days on a 24/7 basis. A milder air mass for Tuesday along with clear and sunny conditions forecasted will give us an opportunity to clear snow pack from the priority road & sidewalk network. Clean up efforts include dead ends & cul de sacs, push button signals, sidewalks, bus stops, school zones, bridges, turning lanes and parked car issues.

• We anticipate road, sidewalk & bike lane conditions for the Monday afternoon commute will be snow covered and slippery

• Combo plow trucks will continue to plow and salt or sand/grit the arterial roads. All sidewalk units will be deployed to plow and apply abrasives to sidewalks and bus stops

• We will deploy plowing/sanding/gritting resources over the remainder of the transportation network as necessary as the weather or road conditions change

• Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become snow covered and slippery
