Blais delivers another important investment in Cumberland parks

Councillor Stephen Blais is pleased to announce that Bella Vista Park in Cumberland will see a major upgrade this year.

“Upgrading aging parks and bringing them to a modern standard has been an important focus of mine. This investment in Bella Vista Park will ensure the children in the neighbourhood have access to a modern and safe play structure.”

Stephen Blais

Since taking office in December 2010, Stephen has secured millions of dollars to upgrade play structures at Wilfrid Murray Park in Cumberland Village, Cardinal Farm and Gardenway Parks in Orléans and built a dozen new parks across both the urban and rural areas of Cumberland Ward.

“Parks are a vital part of a complete community. By ensuring all of our neighbourhoods have access to ample parkland with modern facilities we can help our friends, families and neighbours stay healthy by living an active lifestyle.”

The City has developed two options for the upgrading of the play structure in Bella Vista Park and is seeking feedback from the community.
