Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me about LRT and their experience with both the train and bus network since the launch of LRT. To be clear, this feedback was heeded by me, my colleagues and OC Transpo.

To this end, I personally met with senior officials at OC Transpo to review the feedback and advocate for changes that addresses the problems that have been highlighted by riders.

I can’t thank you enough for your comments because this valuable input led to service improvements that began in November with the deployment of the additional 40 buses. Further, service improvements will be made starting this winter with the $7.5 million investment approved by City Council in the 2020 Budget.

In developing the following service changes, staff also considered comments from customers received through all OC Transpo customer service channels, and from staff, as well as operational data collected since the start of the network service change.

Thank you for your commitment to public transit and for your continued feedback about the service.

I look forward to hearing how these changes are impacting service when they are fully in place, when everyone is back to their daily routine after the holidays.

Yours very truly,
